Who Are You?

Galatians 6:7-9
“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Romans 12:1 – 2
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

When a person who professes to be a christian but who still conforms to the world’s values, principles, and ways will look, speak and behave like the world instead of a true believer of Jesus. Sadly many professing christians fall in this category and has become a norm in churches today. We forgot and fail to see and understand who we are in Christ, called to exhibits Christ holiness and righteousness in our lives declaring and displaying God’s excellencies being conformed to His image and character.

For most professing christians nowadays, christianity has deteriorated into a name, a label and a temporary craze that serves its purpose for his self-centered needs. But God is not mocked, God knows those who are truly His, those who seek His will and hungers for His kingdom. When Jesus comes, everything will be revealed, motives and intentions will be known and works will be judge.

As christians , let us always ask and allow the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of truth and revelation to continually searched our hearts to test us whether we are truly in the faith and walking in the truth.

Heavenly Father; we ask of you that you teach us to search our hearts that we remain in the truth of your word. Help us to be guided by your Spirit all the time in this world full of trials.

In Jesus mighty name we pray,

Your Brother in Christ,

Thomas 😇
